Lets start drilling in Alaska and off the coast of Florida and stop listening to the democrats who are just exploiting the situation to help their party and possibly their pocket.  I wonder how many of those who vote against drilling domestically also have stock in alternative energy companies.  Wouldn’t it be interesting if they were profiting from keeping the price of oil HIGH to make alternative energy more competitive?  I know Al Gore buys “carbon credits” from a company he owns.  How many democrats still in office are doing the same?  Face it people, the government IS CORRUPT!  Democrats cry about the environment yet fly in private jets and drive SUVs. FUCK YOU DEMOCRATS! You block drilling to keep the price up and then tell me I should cut back on my driving while you pollute more in a day then my entire family does in a year. Republicans are to blame as well. They let speculators run up the price of oil and let BIG OIL use that as an excuse to gouge the American people.  Its ironic that now that our infrastructure is built around the combustion engine we’re going to dramatically increase prices and hurt those at the bottom. How is that good for the country?  You say we should fight our addiction to oil without providing an alternative that’s affordable for the working class. Don’t you see this only hurts the poorest people who NEED their inefficient car to get to and from work because the cost of living where their jobs exist is outrageous.  Don’t the democrats claim to be looking out for the poor?
